W bie\u017c\u0105cym roku szkolnym uda\u0142o si\u0119 zrealizowa\u0107 koncepcj\u0119 rozpocz\u0119cia lekcji geografii prowadzonych w j\u0119zyku angielskim. Uczestnicz\u0105 w nich uczniowie klasy drugiej o profilu matematyczno-geograficznym. Zaj\u0119cia te poszerzaj\u0105 wiedz\u0119 z zakresu przer\u00f3\u017cnych dziedzin geografii, takich jak astronomia czy kartografia. Jednocze\u015bnie rozwijaj\u0105 zas\u00f3b s\u0142ownictwa i zwi\u0119kszaj\u0105 umiej\u0119tno\u015bci pos\u0142ugiwania si\u0119 j\u0119zykiem angielskim. Realizujemy tematy, o kt\u00f3rych sami chcieliby\u015bmy us\u0142ysze\u0107, zagadnienia\u00a0 kt\u00f3rych jeste\u015bmy ciekawi. Zaj\u0119cia stanowi\u0105 odskoczni\u0119 od cz\u0119sto niepraktycznych temat\u00f3w z podstawy programowej. Cieszymy si\u0119, \u017ce mo\u017cemy pog\u0142\u0119bia\u0107 wiedz\u0119 w spos\u00f3b przydatny i interesuj\u0105cy.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2016 I paddled solo in a sea kayak around The Lofoten and Vesteralen Archipelagos. My experiences from that trip I decided to share with Wios\u0142o <\/em>magazine readers in issue 2\/2017. Struck by the beauty of subarctic Norway I went there again in 2017 to paddle around the so called Tromso Archipelago and then to get back to the most stunning places of that region with Iwona, who was to come to Tromso at the beginning of August. This year however I gave myself much more time not only to paddle around but to be with and to feel the sea and nature. I also took GoPro camera and photo stuff so that I could take back home in addition to memories, some good quality photographic material.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is a perfect place for a sea kayaker, who in addition to breathtaking views has the opportunity to face there logistic and technical challenges \u2013 an outcome of harsh climate, rugged coastline, the shape of the sea floor and the impact of the North Atlantic. Two seasons of paddling there, mostly in open sea, summed up to 1522km measured by GPS ( I paddled nearly 200km with Iwona but this is an estimate number as I did not always have my GPS on during the \u201cplay\u201d at sea )\u00a0 and gave birth to an idea of starting a blog rather than writing next article, as blogs don\u2019t have words and pictures limits as paper media does.<\/span><\/p>\n

The number of subsequent entries will tell a story about classical sea kayaking in northern Norway and will be preceded by information about the equipment, advice on how to improve it, how to ensure your safety at those seas and how to make your camping more comfortable in those harsh subarctic conditions. As each entry will describe a different group of islands, this blog can be treated as a personal mini guide book consisting of chapters describing different geographical aspects of the chosen microregions. As such, even though it is addressed to kayakers, it can be of interest to any sea going enthusiast planning a trip to that region.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each entry will be accompanied by a short video and photo gallery with links below. This one is accompanied by a video trailer with images taken in the area from Austvagoya ( Lofoten ) to Arnoya island ( east of Tromso Archipelago). \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
